COLE CHANDLER

Classic American Popular Songs

Europe gave the world classical music - while America gave the world jazz! With the best of both worlds countless "popular songs" were created in the first half of the 20th century that are as catchy as they are elegant. Composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin laid the foundation for the classic canon of jazz, the Great American Songbook.

As a singer, Cole Chandler has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to this profession.

In his genre you inevitably follow in the footsteps of legendary stage artists such as Mel Tormé, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett.

Cole Chandler has been working with renowned german jazz pianist Rainer Schnelle for years, with whom he has performed both in a duo and with the Rainer Schnelle Trio. He is also the regular singer of the Romani Weiss Swingtet from Berlin, which cultivates and further develops Sinti jazz á la Django Reinhardt.

Wherever Cole Chandler and his colleagues perform, you immediately feel in good hands: a flattering baritone, a real crooner with a classical style who can bring a world to life in every song - and hand-picked accompanists who belong to the top notch of North German jazz.
